Christopher Reeve

Throughout his life, Chris Reeve had always been a risk-taker. He flew airplanes, rode horses, acted (which is not a risk of life and career), and did countless other dangerous activities. An overachiever, he was well-suited for the life of an actor. In fact, he acted in over forty T.V. shows, movies, and plays. Even more amazing than that, is that he even directed three movies, (Everyone’s Hero, The Brooke Ellison Story, and In the Gloaming). What makes these accomplishments over-the-top astonishing is that he directed all three after  he became paralyzed. A semi-known fact act of his was using his power as a well-known actor to get media attention on the Chilean actors, and save their lives. Those 77 actors had been sentenced to death by Augusto Pinochet, (the dictator of Chile at the time), for criticizing the government. This earned him three national distinctions from Chile. By doing things such as these, he was proving to be the superman we all thought he was.
