In Wood Song the reader follow Gary Paulsen through his many stages of dog sledding. He starts as a beginner, not knowing anything about the dogs or their nutrition. He quickly learns the way of the dogs, and soon makes it his goal to run the Iditarod, a prestigious dog sledding race across Alaska. With the companionship of his team, they are able to reach his goal and run the amazing race.

I recommend this book because it has a great and inspirational story line. The reader learns the ups and downs of owning and having a close relationship with a pet. I promise, this book keep you laughing and leave the reader with a sense of warmth in your heart.
