The Leading Candidates

Hillary Clinton (democrat) Former First Lady, Hillary Clinton is now shooting for the presidency.  After leaving the White House, she became one of the senators of New York.  She represents the middle class mostly, growing up in a middle class family in Illinois.  She stays true to her beliefs; she supports health care for families and she represents women and human rights.

Barack Obama (democrat) Growing up in Hawaii, his parents of two different races, Barack Obama represents civil rights.  He is a Senator of Illinois, and has a law degree from Harvard.  Though he doesn’t have much experience, his willingness to unite the government and work with both parties has brought him into the run for President.

Rudy Giuliani   (republican)   Rudy Giuliani worked his way up to mayor of New York City.  He worked for many years in the U.S. States Attorney, and then finally became United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York.  He uncovered many crime cases in organized crimes such as corrupted officials.  He became the first Republican mayor of the largely Democratic city of New York.  He served in that position during the attacks on September 11, and was rewarded and regarded for his unbelievably fast recovery for the city.
